Last summer I was tasked with the nearly impossible task of planning a party for my client’s wife’s 50th birthday party. His criteria was very specific which made it challenging. He was looking to host a family friendly weekend of events on a prime date in October of 2021 (it was July) and he wanted a place that his immediate family and their closest circle of extended relatives and closest friends could stay over night for the weekend, but not more than 30 miles from Boston. In a non pandemic time this ask would have been easier, but after nearly two years of Covid impacting people’s celebrations, vendors and venues were booked. After a few weeks of serious venue searching, I woke up one morning remembering a house I had toured four years ago. At 9:01 am. I reached out to the owner, learned it was available, reviewed the online listing, was ecstatic to learn it checked all of our boxes. I immediately emailed and texted my client trying to contain my excitement, but expressing my eagerness of a reply. I did not want to risk losing this option. We met at the house that night, toured it and he put a deposit down almost immediately. The owners of this Newburyport home and estate are warm, kind, generous and made planning this very special event a pleasure for me and my client. I’ll be sharing more about the party, but this post is to let you know–last minuted events, small events, non-wedding events, what might seems like impossible events, bring it on, I love what I do, I love a challenge and I love helping clients find exactly what they are looking for. Let’s do it. Reach out when you’re ready!
