As I happily look back at this last year and share some of our highlights from 2018, I am so proud of the launch of the Boston Planners Dining Club with fellow planner Sarah, from Brilliant Event Planning. Jove of Jove Meyer Events created the concept of a Planners Dining Club in New York City, by accident and after attending two of his fabulous events– I was eager to replicate this amazing idea in Boston. With Jove’s blessing and Sarah’s partnership, that is what we did and the response has been overwhelming. We are so humbled by the support of our colleagues and the enthusiasm of the industry.

The Boston Planners Dining Club #BPDC was created as an opportunity to foster community and camaraderie amongst wedding planners in Boston, while planners experience vendors’ talent and services first hand.   Sarah and I plan the dinners, then provide each vendor with the inspiration and then step back and encourage them to create their very best work.  These events have been an excellent opportunity for us to get familiar with new vendors and their work, venues and their spaces and our esteemed colleagues.

We are grateful to fellow planner Sara Kovel and her husband, Chef William Kovel owners of Catalyst Restaurant in Cambridge for being the perfect hosts of our very first dinner.  The service was excellent and the food was amazing. It’s a perfect restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, host a milestone birthday, rehearsal dinner, intimate soiree or you could buyout the main dining for a grander event.

The talented duo behind Fete Collection created a beautiful water color design for the menus that inspired Marc Hall and team to create the table’s gorgeous blooms and their design was used on the bar created by Party By Design.
