Thank you for your interest in Boston Planners Dining Club. We’ve tried to anticipate and answer your questions here.
Boston Planners Dining Club is a creative and collaborative dining experience for Boston’s best wedding and event planners.
Tammy Golson Fallon of Tammy Golson Events and Sarah Glick of Brilliant Event Planning co-founded BPDC in 2018, adopting the idea from Jove Meyer of Jove Meyer Events in New York City.
We plan and design the dinners at exciting venues throughout New England and then recruit talented vendors who are eager and enthusiastic to participate and contribute.
We are extremely proud of the dinners we’ve hosted thus far and the wonderful feedback we’ve received from our peers. We are deeply grateful for the support of our generous venue partners and we love the enthusiasm of our vendor teams. The dinners are well attended and received by our planners’ community and the wedding industry as a whole.
Each dinner starts with a cocktail hour, typically at 6pm, which is then followed by a three course meal. The caterer or venue, if they are providing the meal, determines the number of guests they are prepared to host, so they are in control of their investment. The venue and caterer also weigh in on the guest list. The dinners are ranging between 25-75 guests.
These dinners have been an excellent opportunity to get better acquainted with both vendors we know and respect and also those we’ve not yet had the chance to work with. The expectation of each vendor is outlined by Sarah or Tammy prior to each dinner, but we really encourage vendors to approach their contribution to the dinner from an editorial perspective, exploring new creative ideas and techniques that excite them. While our goal is to impress our esteemed colleagues with luxury experiences, creative ideas and interesting elements, the dinners are also a perfect opportunity for vendors to create fresh content for their portfolios. Each company that provides to the dinner is reserved one seat at the table. Each company will also receive our sincere gratitude and recognition by email in advance of the dinner, as the reminder message is sent to guests, verbally at the start of the dinner, in print at the dinner, by social media after the dinner and then again in the feature from Boston Magazine. We are thrilled to report that many lucrative connections have been made between planners and vendors as a result of our dinners.
Boston Magazine is our exclusive press partner. They feature each dinner online or in print.
We’ve had talented filmmakers document each dinner.
Thanks to the success of our dinners, our list of amazing wedding and event planners in the Boston area is long and growing. To those who have attended a dinner and been such gracious guests, thank you for supporting our vision and initiative to curate an atmosphere that fosters community, quality conversation and deeper connections between the industry’s well established planners and our wildly talented rising stars. We appreciate your acknowledgements of our efforts, the generosity of our vendor partners and the talent of our vendor teams on instagram and throughout your social media platforms. These acknowledgements are what enable us to bring you the highest quality experiences. Though space at each dinner is limited, we look forward to raising a fork with you in the future.
