While ringing in the new year in Chicago, I accidentally discovered an amazing new wedding venue. Elysian opened just four weeks ago and it’s beautiful architecture and the lamp posts drew me in. The warmth and decor of this hotel is unique and inviting. Inspired by Coco Chanel and the 1940’s, the chandeliers are all original.
This chandelier hangs in the lobby and was made to replicate a broach worn by Coco Chanel.
This private room was set for a dinner party. The table was set with gorgeous, china, silverware and glassware, the iPhone photo does not do it justice. The table was simple and clean, but stunning.
This sweet statue is also in the lobby and is made of brown sugar, not entirely of course, but it has some sugar in it.
Enjoy a cup of hot apple cider on the couch in front of the fireplace. While this would be lovely most places, in Chicago on December 31st, this small touch has greater significance.
This hotel does not have the hotel look you may be used to seeing, it’s truly special and I was extremely impressed by its design and decor.
Thanks to the gentleman who gave me the tour, his wealth of knowledge about the hotel made him the perfect ambassador for the property. It was the best customer service I have received in months.
This is truly a well done and fascinating blog. Excellent pictures. Pithy and in formative captions. Nice and confident voice of Tammy, who knows a great celebration venue as soon as she sees it. If we, Tammy's fans, know of any world-class undiscovered places to get hitched, let's let her know.
